1. Terms of Use
By accessing or using Something To Do ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
The Platform is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. We make every reasonable effort to ensure event listings are accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information published. Event details — including dates, times, prices, and availability — are subject to change without notice. Always verify details directly with the event organiser before attending.
You must not use the Platform to post false, misleading, or fraudulent event listings. We reserve the right to remove any listing and suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms without prior notice.
2. Privacy Policy
We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.
What we collect: When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. When you submit an event, we also collect your contact details and event information. We may also collect anonymised usage data (pages visited, searches made) to improve the Platform.
How we use it: Your email is used to send account-related communications, the weekly newsletter (if you opt in), and competition notifications. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your rights: You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at [email protected].
Cookies: We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies without your explicit consent.
3. Event Listing Policy
Event organisers who submit listings to the Platform agree to the following:
All submitted information must be accurate and not misleading. Organisers are responsible for keeping their listings up to date. Something To Do reserves the right to edit, reject, or remove any listing at our sole discretion.
Listings may be submitted free of charge as a standard listing. Premium listings — which include featured placement, scrolling banner advertising, and enhanced visibility — are available on a paid basis. Pricing for premium listings is available on request.
Duplicate listings are not permitted. A maximum of one listing per event per day, and a maximum of two listings per day per organisation, will be accepted.
Listings that contain prohibited content (including but not limited to: illegal activities, hate speech, adult content, or misleading pricing) will be removed immediately and the associated account may be permanently suspended.
4. Content Vetting & Moderation
All submitted events are subject to automated and manual review before publication. Our vetting process uses keyword monitoring to flag potentially inappropriate content for human review. We reserve the right to add to or modify our keyword list at any time without notice.
If an account is suspended or blocked, all associated listings will be removed from public view. Administrators retain the ability to view suspended listings for audit purposes.
If you believe a listing has been incorrectly removed, you may appeal by contacting [email protected] with the subject line "Listing Appeal".
5. Competition Terms & Conditions
Competitions hosted on the Platform are open to UK residents aged 18 and over unless otherwise stated. Employees of Something To Do and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
One entry per person per competition unless otherwise stated. Entries submitted by automated means will be disqualified.
Winners will be selected at random from all valid entries after the closing date. Winners will be notified by email within 7 days of the closing date. If a winner cannot be contacted within 14 days, an alternative winner will be selected.
Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered. Something To Do reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.
Competitions are operated by Something To Do and are not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by any third party unless explicitly stated.
6. Limitation of Liability
Something To Do is a directory and discovery platform. We are not the organiser of any event listed on the Platform and accept no liability for any loss, injury, or disappointment arising from attendance at any listed event.
We are not responsible for the accuracy of information provided by third-party event organisers. We strongly recommend that users confirm all event details directly with the organiser before making travel or ticket arrangements.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Something To Do's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed £100.
